Raffi Amit

Raffi Amit is the Marie and Joseph Melone Professor and a Professor of Management at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include business model innovation, family business, strategic management, entrepreneurship, and venture capital financing of startups. He founded and leads the Wharton Global Family Alliance, a partnership between academia and family businesses. Amit has also served as Academic Director of Wharton Entrepreneurship from 1999 to 2015. His work explores family firms, ownership, governance, and wealth management, with a focus on integrating behavioral and economic factors. He has advised numerous families on governance, succession, and wealth management. Amit holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in Economics and a Ph.D. in Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences from Northwestern University.
