Joshua Machacek

Dr Joshua Machacek is a Fellow in the Department of Physics at The Australian National University. His research focuses on positron interactions, including scattering processes and positronium formation. He is affiliated with the Nuclear Physics & Accelerator Applications and Quantum Science & Technology research groups. Dr Machacek's work includes studies on positron collisions with noble gases, electron-mercury scattering, and applications in materials science, such as laser powder bed fusion. His research has been published in several journals, including the European Physical Journal D and the Journal of Physics B. He is also involved in positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy and the development of positron beam techniques.
