Regular biography
Dr Philipp Loesel is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of PHY at The Australian National University. His research interests include Computer Vision, Biomedical Image Segmentation, Artificial Intelligence & Deep Learning, High Performance Computing, and Hardware-Aware Computing. Prior to his current position, he served as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Materials Physics at ANU since April 2023. He has held various research associate and lecturer positions at institutions such as Heidelberg University and the Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies (HITS).
