Regular biography
Dr Nikolai Lobanov is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of PHY at The Australian National University. His research focuses on accelerator physics and related technologies, with contributions to ion source development, superconducting resonators, and beam diagnostics. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, addressing topics such as sputter ion sources, cryogenic systems, and accelerator performance optimization. Dr Lobanov's work has advanced the design and operation of heavy ion accelerators and related facilities at ANU.
