Dr Ankie Larsson is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of PHY at The Australian National University. Her research focuses on materials science, particularly in the areas of X-ray tomography and applications, as well as the study of inorganic self-organized silica aragonite biomorphic composites. She has contributed to the understanding of crystal structures and diffraction patterns in various materials systems. Dr Larsson's work includes publications on silica-carbonate biomorphs and their implications for the identification of microfossils. She is affiliated with the X-ray tomography and applications group.
