David P. Baron is The David S. and Ann M. Barlow Professor of Political Economy and Strategy, Emeritus at Stanford Graduate School of Business. He joined Stanford GSB in 1981 after teaching at Northwestern University for thirteen years. Baron has also served as a visiting professor at several institutions, including Harvard University, the Université d’Aix-en-Provence, and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. His research spans political economy, business strategy, and the intersection of business with social, political, and legal environments. He has authored a leading textbook in the field and has published extensively in top journals. Baron has received numerous teaching awards and has been recognized for his contributions to academic and professional service.
