Claire Gmachl

Claire Gmachl is the Eugene Higgins Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University, where she also serves as Chair of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Her research focuses on Applied Physics, Materials & Devices, and Photonics, with an emphasis on quantum devices, particularly Quantum Cascade (QC) lasers. Her work explores the development and optimization of these lasers for sensor systems in environmental, medical, and security applications.
