Regular biography
Tongmiao Fan is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of PHY at The Australian National University. His research focuses on nonlinear and quantum photonics, with particular emphasis on the development of nonlinear metasurfaces for the generation and engineering of entangled photons. Fan's work includes contributions to polarization engineering of entangled photons from lithium niobate nonlinear metasurfaces, as well as applications in quantum imaging. He is affiliated with the Nonlinear and Quantum Photonics Group and has published in journals such as Nano Letters and conference proceedings related to metamaterials and photonics.
