Bahador Bahmani

Bahador Bahmani is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University. His research focuses on Computational Engineering, AI and Design, and Advanced Manufacturing. His group's work explores the intersection of computational solid mechanics and machine learning, aiming to develop scalable and autonomous computational methods to enhance the understanding of inelastic behavior in multiscale materials and structures. Quantifying uncertainty and stochasticity is central to his research, with an emphasis on closing the iterative loop between experimentation, modeling, and design. Bahmani holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University and is affiliated with the Catalysis Center at Northwestern Engineering.
