Mark Witte is a Professor of Instruction and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Economics at Northwestern University. His research focuses on applied questions in macroeconomics and public finance, particularly in consumption theory and taxation. His teaching interests include macroeconomics, money and banking, public finance, and the economics of the environment and natural resource extraction. He has received recognition for his teaching and student advising, including a Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Teaching Award and a Distinguished Leader in the Undergraduate Community Award.
