Robert Porter is the William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor in the Department of Economics at Northwestern University. His research focuses on theoretical and empirical studies of collusion, price wars, and bidders' behavior in auctions. Porter is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Game Theory Society. He was awarded the 2018 BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award in Economics, Finance and Management, with Timothy Bresnahan and Ariel Pakes.
