About
Regular biography
Dick K. P. Yue is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on surface and internal wave hydrodynamics, nonlinear wave interactions, turbulence at the air-sea interface, and fluid-structure interactions. He also investigates ocean renewable energy, wave power, and ocean optics. Yue's work includes the study of extreme loads on ships and ocean structures, as well as the hydrodynamics of fish-like swimming. His research spans computational methods for analyzing complex fluid dynamics problems, with applications in both theoretical and practical engineering contexts.
