David L. Trumper is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests include mechatronics, precision engineering, and the applications of continuous- and discrete-time control. He focuses on instrumentation, mechatronics for biomedical devices, electromechanics, magnetic suspensions and bearings, control of fluid systems, and analog and digital signal processing. Trumper's work spans the design of precision mechatronic systems, with an emphasis on novel mechanisms, actuators, sensors, and control systems.
