Gang Chen

Gang Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research focuses on experimental, theoretical, and numerical studies of fundamental thermal energy conversion and transport mechanisms at micro- and nanometer scales, with applications to thermoelectrics, photovoltaics, thermophotovoltaics, microelectronics, and photonics. His work also includes thermal and electrochemical energy storage, nanoengineered materials with high and low thermal conductivities, thermal interface materials, and ultrafast transport processes.
