Jerry Hausman

Jerry A. Hausman is the John & Jennie S. MacDonald Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the Department of Economics. He has taught at MIT for 30 years and serves as Director of the MIT Telecommunications Economics Research Program. His research focuses on econometrics and applied microeconomics, with recent work in differentiated products, telecommunications, and network markets. He has published extensively on topics such as the effects of new goods on economic welfare, telecommunications technologies, and econometric methods including difference in difference models and weak instruments.
