Jonathan Gruber

Dr. Jonathan Gruber is the Ford Professor of Economics and Department Head at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he has taught since 1992. His research focuses on Behavioral Economics, Health Economics, Labor Economics, and Public Economics. He is also the former Director of the Health Care Program at the National Bureau of Economic Research and former President of the American Society of Health Economists. Dr. Gruber has published over 180 research articles, edited six research volumes, and authored several books, including Public Finance and Public Policy. He has also served as a technical consultant to the Obama Administration and contributed to the development of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
