Peter Diamond

Peter Diamond is an Institute Professor and Professor of Economics, Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he taught from 1966 to 2011. His research focuses on Labor Economics, Macroeconomics, and Public Economics. Diamond has analyzed pension systems in various countries and has authored several books, including works on pension reform. He has been President of the American Economic Association, the Econometric Society, and the National Academy of Social Insurance. He was one of the three winners of the 2010 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel for analysis of markets with search frictions.
