Dr. Laxmi Sushama is a Professor and Trottier Chair in Sustainability in Engineering and Design at McGill University's Department of Civil Engineering. Her research focuses on environmental engineering and sustainable engineering and design, particularly through the Climate Change and Sustainable Engineering and Design (CCaSED) group. The group investigates climate change impacts on infrastructure, develops super-resolution climate simulations, and applies machine learning to support engineering systems. Dr. Sushama collaborates with researchers across Canada and internationally and has led several major networks, including the NSERC-CCAR funded Canadian Network for Regional Climate and Weather Processes.
