Dr Mengxuan Zhang is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computing, The Australian National University. Her research focuses on database management, particularly in spatial, graph, and vector databases, with an emphasis on query processing performance. She has worked on efficient route planning and routing optimization algorithms for real-life navigation scenarios, with applications in traffic management, logistics, and social network analysis. Prior to joining ANU, she was a postdoc at Iowa State University and a Research Associate at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Dr Zhang earned her PhD from the University of Queensland in 2021.
