Regular biography
Kerry Taylor is a Professor and BADA Convener at The Australian National University's School of Computing. Her research interests span ontologies, semantic web, linked data, machine learning, data mining, sensor networks, IoT, and spatial data systems, with a focus on interdisciplinary problems. She joined ANU in 2016 after a 20-year career at CSIRO and prior work with the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Taylor has lectured in data mining and convenes postgraduate programs in applied data analytics. She has also served on the editorial boards of several journals and conference committees, and has been a Visiting Reader at the University of Surrey and a Visiting Fellow at the University of Melbourne.
