Stephen Gould

Stephen Gould is a Professor ARC Future Fellow Intelligent Systems Lead at the Australian National University (ANU) in the School of Computing. His research interests include computer and robotic vision, machine learning, structured models, and optimization, with a focus on applying machine learning techniques to geometric and semantic scene understanding in images and video. He collaborates with industry and has previously been involved in founding start-up companies. Gould teaches courses on advanced machine learning, research methods in computer science, and the craft of computing.
