Arjun Berera is a Professor in the School of Physics and Astronomy at The University of Edinburgh. His research focuses on Fundamental Theory and Particle Cosmology, with an emphasis on Quantum Field Theory, Statistical Physics, and early universe cosmology. He is particularly known for developing the model of warm inflation in the mid-90s. His work explores the early phases of the Big-Bang, particle physics, and nonequilibrium quantum field theory. Berera has taught courses in Quantum and Statistical Physics and Quantum Field Theory. He is affiliated with the Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics and the Particle Physics Theory research group.
