Prof Mike Elsby is a Professor of Economics at The University of Edinburgh, School of Economics. His research focuses on the interface between macroeconomics and labour economics, particularly unemployment and wage determination. He studied economics at the London School of Economics, earning a Ph.D. in 2005. Prior to joining the University of Edinburgh, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan.
