Prof. Miguel Costa-Gomes is a Professor and Head of School at The University of Edinburgh, Department of ECON. His research focuses on game theory as part of empirical economics, behavioural economics, experimental economics, experimental finance, bounded rationality, cognitive economics, and negotiation. He has held academic positions at Harvard University, IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, and the Universities of York, Aberdeen, and St. Andrews. Prior to joining Edinburgh, he was Professor and Deputy Head of the School of Economics and Finance at the University of St. Andrews. He is a visiting fellow at The Durham Institute of Research, Development, and Invention and has been involved in various editorial and advisory roles.
