Biography
Maria Mkango is a registered social worker with a passion for mental health, policy analysis, and supporting vulnerable populations. She holds a Master of Social Work and a Master of Development Economics from the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). She is currently completing her PhD, and her dissertation explores the mental health implications of cultural dissonance among Black African immigrants in northern British Columbia.
