Nelson B. Valente de Sa

Nelson B. Valente de Sa is an Associate Professor of the Practice of Economics at Duke University's Department of Economics. He joined the faculty in 2022 as an Assistant Professor of the Practice and has since served as Director of Graduate Studies for the MA in Economics (MAE) program and Co-Director of Graduate Studies for the MSEC in Economics program. Prior to Duke, he taught for nine years at Vassar College and five years at Brandeis University. His research focuses on industrial organization and the teaching of economics. He earned his Ph.D. from Duke University in 2008.
