Michael Pollmann is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Duke University, affiliated with the Economics department in the Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. His research focuses on econometric methods, particularly causal inference and machine learning, with an emphasis on spatial data analysis. Pollmann's work includes semi-parametric estimation of treatment effects in randomized experiments and the price and income effects of hospital reimbursements. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from Stanford University. His publications appear in journals such as the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series B Statistical Methodology and the Journal of Health Economics.
