Regular biography
Marjorie B. McElroy is a Professor of Economics at Duke University, affiliated with the Economics department. Her research focuses on labor, demand systems, and financial economics. She has conducted several research projects funded by National Science Foundation grants, including studies on the economics of the family, marriage markets, and altruism. Her work includes collaborations with scholars such as Hwei-ju Chen, R. Gnanadesikan, and J.R. Kettenring, as well as independent publications like 'What’s New with Nash-Bargained Household Demands?' She is also a Faculty Research Scholar of DuPRI's Population Research Center. Her recent publications include articles in the American Economic Review and Quantitative Economics.
