Biography

Jueyi earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Civil Engineering (Hydraulic Engineering) from Hefei University of Technology, China, and his Dr.-Ing. degree in Water Resources Engineering from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. Following an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Toronto and several years of industry experience as a Hydrotechnical Specialist and Senior Engineer with Klohn Crippen Berger Ltd., he joined UNBC in 2003. Since joining UNBC, Jueyi has developed and taught 8 courses including ENGR254–Fluid Mechanics I, ENGR353–Open Channel Flow, ENGR354–Fluid Mechanics II, and ENGR455–Engineering Hydrology. He has also contributed extensively to the academic community through editorial and peer-review service, including long-term Associate (Deputy) Editor roles for the International Journal of Sediment Research, the Journal of Hydrology and Hydromechanics, and Ocean Engineering, and reviewed over 500 manuscripts for 60 scholarly journals.
