Jeffrey DeSimone

Jeffrey DeSimone is a Professor of the Practice of Economics at Duke University's Department of Economics. He serves as the Director of the Duke Economic Analytics Lab (DEAL). His research focuses on various topics, including the impacts of the minimum legal drinking age on alcohol-related outcomes, mass shootings, gun prevalence, vaccination behavior, suicide patterns, and other real-world economic issues. DeSimone teaches core econometrics courses and a class on gun violence research. He also advises students at Trinity College of Arts & Sciences.
