Michelle P. Connolly

Michelle P. Connolly is Professor of the Practice of Economics in the Economics Department at Duke University. She previously served as Chief Economist of the Federal Communications Commission and as an Economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Currently, she is the Director of the Honors Program in Economics and Chair of the Trinity College Arts & Sciences Committee on Curriculum. Her research focuses on broadband and spectrum policy, with additional work in international trade, telecommunications policy, media policy, education, growth, and development. She has published in numerous journals and received funding from the National Science Foundation and other grants. Professor Connolly has been recognized for her teaching at Duke and received awards such as the Howard D. Johnson Trinity College Teaching Prize.
