About
Biography
Dr. Faran Ali is a Professional Engineer with expertise in hydrology and fluvial geomorphology. He joined UNBC in 2016, following academic appointments at SFU, UBC, and the University of Saskatchewan, as well as a decade of professional engineering experience in hydropower and water resources development. At UNBC, he contributes to undergraduate and graduate teaching in earth science, hydrology, geomorphology, and related areas and manages the laboratory component of Introduction to Earth Science (GEOG 210), with an emphasis on practical and hands-on learning.
