Ndulue’s research focuses on the design of persuasive systems and games that foster motivation, reflection and behaviour change. He examines how interactive technologies, from mobile apps to games, can be designed to support well-being, digital literacy and social awareness. A key aspect of his work is the integration of cultural storytelling into persuasive design. By drawing on folktales and historical narratives, he explores how local culture can enrich user engagement and make technology more relatable and impactful. His current interests also include AI-driven persuasion, where adaptive and context-aware systems tailor experiences to users’ goals, preferences and emotional states. Through his teaching, Ndulue encourages students to approach design as both a creative and ethical act—one that combines empathy, cultural insight and technical rigour to shape a better digital future.
