Regular biography
Rebecca J. Barthelmie is a Professor in the Mechanical Engineering department at Cornell University. Her research focuses on wind energy resources and wind turbine wakes within and downwind of large wind farms, both on- and offshore. She has conducted work in Denmark, where she ran the offshore wind energy network and was involved in the development of many offshore wind farms. In the US, her research has centered on wind energy resources and the impacts of wakes and their interaction with the boundary-layer.
