Anna Kuman

Anna’s research investigates how to develop a more culturally responsive pedagogy for actor training. Her philosophy is to empower students to have increased agency over the way they are represented onstage, communicate their evolving holistic needs and honour the knowledge gained from their embodied experiences. Through this work, Anna has developed rehearsal methodologies for musical theatre which allow our work to be infused with trauma-informed, consensual practice and that centre mental health and well-being into the working culture of the studio.
