Dr. Beauclair's primary area of specialization is ethics, with a focus on American philosophy and in particular the work of pragmatist John Dewey. Outside of Dewey, he has also published articles on Plato, Aristotle, Hans-Georg Gadamer, the philosophy of film and on pedagogy. Outside classes in ethics, I regularly teach courses on the philosophy of film, American philosophy, the philosophy of sex and sexuality and bioethics. Alain Beauclair is Associate Professor, Philosophy | Discipline Coordinator & Advisor, Philosophy at MacEwan University.
