Adolfo Ruiz

Adolfo’s research and teaching interests revolve around visual narrative and community-based collaborations. His work often makes use of image-making, writing, unstructured conversations and time-based media as participatory research tools. A year-long project with the Edmonton Multicultural Coalition (2018-19) explored how sharing memories and stories can help build intercultural dialogue. He is also interested in how qualitative research methods are applied within design inquiries. Adolfo brings these creative/research interests to the classroom in the form of lectures, hands-on workshops, improvisational experiences and dialogic forms of pedagogy.
