History education is an area of interest that Aaron continues to pursue. He explores the theoretical and curriculum considerations that shape and structure history education in classrooms. Approaching history through an inquiry lens allows one to cultivate an appreciation for the humanities and a liberal education approach. As history is approached as a social construct, critical pedagogy and anti-racist theories inform considerations that are essential for a more inclusive understanding of the past. As a member of the wellness committee, Aaron is also interested in how wellness is realized as a precondition for learning in pre-service teacher education.
