Dimitrios Hatzinakos is a Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. He holds a Bell Canada Chair in Multimedia at the University of Toronto and is the co-founder and Director of the Identity, Privacy and Security Institute (IPSI) since 2009. His research interests include Multimedia Signal Processing, Multimedia Security, Multimedia Communications, and Biometric Systems. He has served as Chair of the Communications Group at the University of Toronto from July 1999 to June 2004. Hatzinakos has received numerous awards and recognitions, including being listed in the World’s Top 2% Scientists and becoming a Fellow of the IEEE in 2020.
