H. Oliver Gao is the Director of the Systems Engineering Program and holds the Howard Simpson 1942 Professor of Engineering title at Cornell University’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. His research interests include data science, networks/complex systems, engineering computing, statistics/econometrics, and mathematical optimization & operations research. His work focuses on technology, information, and systems management for Intelligent and Healthy Communities across Scales, as well as Technology, information, and management innovation and assessment for clean technology and community health.
