Glenn Gulak

Dr. Glenn Gulak is a professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a registered Professional Engineer in Ontario. His research interests include algorithms, circuits, CMOS implementations of high-performance baseband digital communication systems, and CMOS biosensors. He has authored or co-authored over 150 publications in refereed journals and conference proceedings. He has received numerous teaching awards for undergraduate courses in both the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering. From 1985 to 1988, he was a research associate at Stanford University. He has served on various IEEE ISSCC committees and held leadership roles, including Technical Vice-Chair in 2000 and Technical Program Chair for ISSCC 2001. He currently serves as vice-president of the Publications Committee for the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society.

Glenn Gulak is a researcher at the University of Toronto with expertise in Parallel Algorithms, VLSI, and Signal Processing. His work focuses on developing efficient algorithms for signal processing applications, including power transfer systems, communication channels, and data classification. Gulak has contributed to the design of VLSI architectures for complex algorithms such as the Viterbi and MAP algorithms, as well as the development of field-programmable analog arrays. His research also explores the integration of hardware for wireless power transfer and secure data processing. These efforts highlight his commitment to advancing computational efficiency and signal processing in both communication and biomedical applications.
