Regular biography
Dan Dixon is a reader in the Department of Economics at The University of Sydney. His research interests include the reader-author relationship, the essay form, ordinary language philosophy, and American literature. Dixon's monograph, Reading Relations: How Authors Enter Our Lives, is set for publication in 2026 with the University of Iowa Press as part of The New American Canon series. His work has appeared in Textual Practice and Critical Quarterly, as well as various publications such as The Guardian and The Conversation.
