Dan Dixon is a reader in Economics at The University of Sydney. His research interests include the reader-author relationship, the essay form, ordinary language philosophy, and American literature. Dixon's monograph, Reading Relations: How Authors Enter Our Lives, is set for publication in 2026 with the University of Iowa Press as part of The New American Canon series. His work has been published in Textual Practice and Critical Quarterly, and his writing appears in various outlets, including The Guardian and The Conversation.
