Regular biography
Dan Dixon is an Associate Lecturer in English and Writing at the University of Sydney. His areas of research include the philosophy of the reader-author relationship, the essay form, and American literature. His book, Reading Relations: How Authors Enter Our Lives, is forthcoming with The University of Iowa Press in 2026. His research has been published in Textual Practice and Critical Quarterly. His writing has appeared in various outlets, including The Guardian and The Conversation.
