Luis Ceferino is a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney. His research focuses on transportation engineering, particularly travel behavior and road pricing. Ceferino earned his Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 1998. His dissertation, 'On Whom the Toll Falls,' examines local decision-making processes for managing and financing roads, advocating for direct road pricing to efficiently allocate road resources and reduce congestion. He was awarded the CUTC/ARTBA New Faculty Award in January 2005.
