Climate Physics is a research area within the School of Physics at The University of New South Wales. The department focuses on applying physics to understand the Earth’s climate system, including radiative transfer, fluid mechanics, and dynamical systems. Research involves heuristic models, numerical simulations, and machine learning to study climate dynamics and extremes. The Climate Change Research Centre (CCRC) houses expertise in atmospheric, oceanic, and terrestrial processes, aiming to address climate change impacts and risks. The research group welcomes students for summer, honours, or postgraduate projects.
