Prof SUN, Xiankai 孫賢開

Prof SUN, Xiankai 孫賢開 is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests include Nanophotonics, Optomechanics, Optoelectronics, Photonic integrated circuits and devices, and Nanofabrication. Xiankai Sun is a Professor of Electronic Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, specializing in integrated optics, optomechanics, optoelectronics, and NEMS/MEMS. His research focuses on developing advanced photonic integrated circuits, exploring bound states in the continuum, and utilizing materials like aluminum nitride and lithium niobate for optomechanical and nonlinear optical applications. He has contributed to the design of high-Q optomechanical resonators, acousto-optic modulation, and photonic devices with enhanced performance. His work also includes the development of nanomechanical systems and integrated platforms for high-dimensional communication and ultra-compact optical components.
