Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Wendt

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Wendt is an Honorary Professor at the Technical University of Munich, School of Engineering and Design. He studied mechanical engineering at TUM and completed his doctorate in 1992 at the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management (iwb) on "Quality assurance in flexible assembly systems." He worked in production engineering management positions at Robert Bosch GmbH before joining BMW AG in 2002 as head of strategy development in the production department. He developed the value-added-oriented production system, which became the basis for excellent processes in BMW plants. His work also involved integrating the EFQM model into a holistic management model for excellent companies.
