Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Sodeikat

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christian Sodeikat is an Honorary Professor at the Technical University of Munich, School of Engineering and Design, in the department of Mechanical Engineering. His research interests include construction analysis and repair measures. He studied civil engineering at TUM and worked as a research associate at the Institute for Building Materials. In 2000, he received a doctorate for his research on two-layer concrete roads and became a partner in the engineering firm Professor Schießl GbR. Since 2007, he has been managing partner of Schiessl Gehlen Sodeikat GmbH Consulting Engineers. He works as an expert and scientific advisor in building inspections, focusing on non-destructive testing, and is involved in the creation of standards and testing guidelines. He also provides expert advice on the restoration and repair of historic buildings and infrastructure.
