Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael F. Zäh

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael F. Zäh is a professor at the Technical University of Munich, Department of Mechanical Engineering. His research focuses on machine tools and manufacturing technology, including generative production methods, production technology, and cognition for engineering systems. He graduated in mechanical engineering from TUM and earned his doctorate degree in 1993 under the supervision of Professor Milberg. From 1994 to 1995, he served as Chief Engineer and Department Head for Machine Tools and Production Technology. In 2002, he accepted the Chair of Machine Tools and Production Technology at TUM and has been Director of the Institute for Machine Tools and Industrial Management since then.
